So it finally got cold like I wanted it to, and then I got sick. Ugh. Just my luck. Well I'm finally getting over that so that's ONE of the reasons I've been MIA lately. The other? Well, I don't have another, haha. Anyway, I still feel a little tired so excuse the short post. I bought this sweater while it was still hot here in Texas. I was finally able to wear it this past weekend to lunch with my husband. I bought it from this store called Garage. The salesgirl actually informed me that this is a Canadian brand and the only other store in Texas was in Houston. They had such cute stuff, but I did have to restrain myself from doing some serious damage.

Spiked

Black pants-Zara/Bag-The Sak/everything else-Forever 21

This is my new favorite necklace. AND sweater. It started to get really chilly this past weekend and I took FULL advantage of wearing one of my sweaters. Although it is the thinnest one I have, I still kept warm. Of course now, we are now back at 86 degrees F in Austin, but I guess it was good while it lasted...all of 1 day, haha.

John and I went to go watch "Just in Time" with Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfreid on Friday and it was SO GOOD. That movie had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! I highly recommend it! We also had dinner at an Indian restaurant right before that so all I could smell all night was curry. Oh well-it was delicious.

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! :)

 Over-sized blouse-My Husband's/Purple jeans-Forever 21/Shoes-M.E./Bag-The Sak/Sunglasses-H&M

So I seriously cannot get enough of this white, crisp blouse I "stole" from my husband John's closet a few months ago. Since then, I've worn it as a dress with a belt and with some shorts to a Cold War Kids concert. I usually roll up the sleeves and tie the tips to give it that over-sized look.

With this outfit, I really wanted to wear my new red suede pumps so I decided to pair it with a pair of purple pants that were just as bright in color. The white blouse really offsets it in a great way.

Even with the Texas heat (yes, it's still continuing through October) I felt really airy and flowy in this outfit!

Quickie

Here's a quick post for today! I haven't been able to upload any pictures in a while. I realized today that wearing heels to work might not be such a good idea. There is too much getting up, running around and sitting back down. Yeah, flats might be a better idea. Anyway, I am going back to posting my weekend outfits tomorrow. I am usually too tired to take pictures after a long day of work during the week, that is why weekday outfit posts are unusual in this blog. That and the fact that I have am too tired from the day before to even care about coming up with a good outfit for work. Oh well, whaddaya gonna do, right? I'll do it every now and then. 'Till then!-listen to this awesome song:

Double take

This past weekend was sort of a blur. I hadn't gotten in enough sleep during the week that I couldn't think straight and completely enjoy the weekend. Saturday was a pretty random day: apartment hunting, homemade pizza for lunch (gracias Christian) and the American Apparel Flea Market Warehouse sale for SXSW. I guess I should have hit that a little earlier because by the time I got there, everyone else had already "vultured" their way in and out taking with them everything on the racks. The night started and ended early in downtown Austin, and after a couple of drinks I was ready to go home.

Today was a more relaxed day. Did a little shopping at Borders (the store is closing down) for a few travel books. Mostly places that are definitely on my mind for visitation in the near future.
