Christmas sweater

My Christmas sweater amped up a bit. Had a long long Christmas weekend in Dallas, TX, and now I'm exhausted (as usual). Ready for the new year!

P.S. This song has been in my head probably since I attended the show a few months ago. Enjoy.

So it finally got cold like I wanted it to, and then I got sick. Ugh. Just my luck. Well I'm finally getting over that so that's ONE of the reasons I've been MIA lately. The other? Well, I don't have another, haha. Anyway, I still feel a little tired so excuse the short post. I bought this sweater while it was still hot here in Texas. I was finally able to wear it this past weekend to lunch with my husband. I bought it from this store called Garage. The salesgirl actually informed me that this is a Canadian brand and the only other store in Texas was in Houston. They had such cute stuff, but I did have to restrain myself from doing some serious damage.

sNOw WAY!

Yay! Believe it or not, this was my first snow day. It "snowed" once about 6 years ago in my hometown in South TX, but that was not snow for me. It was more like icy mud. Yuck! Anyway, it was truly a snow day-I woke up at 5:45am only to find out that I didn't have to go into work that day! So I went back to sleep haha. I then proceeded to wake up 3 hours later and rushed to go outside with my husband to play in the snow. Weird thing for me was that the sun was out and shining, but the snow was still intact. That's Texas for you! It was so beautifully white outside! Never seen anything like it. I could feel the texture of the snow through my boots. I then ATTEMPTED to make a snowball, but as you can see, I was not wearing the appropriate gloves for that. It truly felt like winter.

Once the snow melted and we were able to drive without fearing for our lives that we were going to slide off the highway, we went to go have lunch at Magnolia's Cafe in the heart of SoCo in Austin. I love eating at random restaurants that you will only find in Austin. You never know what you're gonna get! Great day!

It's the silly things we do

Helloooo freezing cold! Really, I don't even want to go to my car to grab that pair of flats I left there. I had to defrost in my apt. before I ran out to my porch to rush with the picture taking. Luckily, it wasn't THAT bad since the sun was hitting my skin in all the right places. Anyway, these last few pictures depict my Friday night: a warm fire going, and a stack of magazines that are way past overdue. I am seriously subscribed to too many of them. I was really stoked to see Michelle Williams on the cover of Marie Claire though. She was great in Blue Valentine! I'm saving that one for last.

I hope it gets at least a little warmer tomorrow. I want to be able to leave my apt. not wearing like 3 layers of clothing. Gotta love winter!
