Christmas sweater

 Shorts -Forever 21 / Tights-Target / Sweater-Nordstrom Rack / Boots-Asos / / Headband-Sam Moon

My Christmas sweater amped up a bit. Had a long long Christmas weekend in Dallas, TX, and now I'm exhausted (as usual). Ready for the new year!

P.S. This song has been in my head probably since I attended the show a few months ago. Enjoy.

Mrs. Freddy Krueger

Shorts, necklace & tights-Forever 21/Boots-Asos/Striped sweater-Old Navy/Hat-thrifted/Bag-The Sak
This outfit totally reminded me of Freddy Krueger but in a more "stylish" way, haha. I was certain of this when I walked out of the room and John goes, "Freddy Kreuger?", when I asked him what he thought of my outfit. "I like it , though," he said. Well me too!

The pictures towards the bottom are from this past Wednesday when John and I went to the Chevelle concert at La Zona Rosa here in Austin. They have been one of my favorite bands for such a long time, that I definitely could not pass up the opportunity of seeing them live-even if I only got to sleep a few hours. Story of my life- and I love it.

P.S. I think I need some new black opaque tights. Any suggestions on where I can get some that are REALLY REALLY dark?

Also, this following video was actually take by me at the show, and then I uploaded it onto

 Striped blazer & bag-Forever 21/Pants-Zara/Bear sweater-Garage/Flats-Steve Madden

So it finally got cold like I wanted it to, and then I got sick. Ugh. Just my luck. Well I'm finally getting over that so that's ONE of the reasons I've been MIA lately. The other? Well, I don't have another, haha. Anyway, I still feel a little tired so excuse the short post. I bought this sweater while it was still hot here in Texas. I was finally able to wear it this past weekend to lunch with my husband. I bought it from this store called Garage. The salesgirl actually informed me that this is a Canadian brand and the only other store in Texas was in Houston. They had such cute stuff, but I did have to restrain myself from doing some serious damage.

Como la flor

Power shoulder leather jacket- Storets / Scarf-via TJ Maxx / Jeans- Zara / Boots- Asos

During Thanksgiving weekend, I accompanied my husband John on a business trip to Corpus Christi, TX. I have only been there one other time (22nd bday celebration thanks to some 0f my best friends), but I had never experienced it with freezing cold temperatures. While he was at his meeting early in the morning, I decided to get myself a latte and go and enjoy the beautiful beach (we had a beachfront view from our hotel!) It was so peaceful and serene. I then remembered that one of my all-time favorite artists has a memorial in made her honor when she died. Who other than Selena?! I remembered I was around 8 or 9 when tragedy struck. I was one of those little girls that had choreographed dances to ALL of her songs-ALL OF HER SONGS :-) I spent a good amount of time there-just reminiscing.

Now, isn't my jacket AH-mazing?! I actually bought it last Fall at due to a very inspiring blogger Chiara from looked so amazing sporting this baby that she totally convinced me. I was also very into the Balmain power shoulder look then. Still am actually :) This jacket totally fits like a glove and I am trying really hard not to wear it with everything I own. I made the mistake of "hiding" it in the back of my closet last year and totally forgot all about it once the cold weather came along. Not making that same mistake this year!
