I might've not mentioned this yet, but purple is by far my favorite color. You might understand my shock when I realized that I DO NOT own a purple top (other than my yoga tops). I came across this beauty when I was perusing at TJ Maxx about a week ago. I've been iffy to wear any spring clothes because I am not much into flat sandals and John and I usually do A LOT of walking on the weekends, so wearing heels does not even enter my mind. Oh well, lookie here :-)

So, holy cray-I've been out for a while! John and I took these pictures this past weekend while we were down in South Congress having lunch. I love that part of Austin, I can always find a new backdrop for pictures. I have cut my hair short and have decided to get another tattoo. I'm not 100% on what I want yet, but I have a few ideas in mind. 

Also, I have joined Instagram. It is definitely addictive. I'm @sandracdavila if anyone wants to add!

Her name was Lola

So there is a reason for the title of my post. John and I had some friends over this past Saturday, and they brought their little girl. She is the most adorable child I have seen to date! Her name is Lola and she is 1 1/2. She quickly became comfortable with us and I could not seem to get away from her (or vice-versa). 

Anyway, I really have been trying to to make more posts, but with a full-time job, daily yoga, and Pinterest, I cannot seem to find the time. I know that seems like such a line, but I will really try to step it up! Also, I posted the last picture because of my hairstyle. I was so proud of myself for doing this! I have seen it on so many other girls and I've always wanted to try it. I found an awesome tutorial at GalMeetsGlam@blogspot.com . Check it out!

Not much to say today- I've been so exhausted lately with work. Yoga is completely making up for it though and giving me some of that strength back. I'm so addicted to it. 

 Also, I've been longing to go shopping for so long! I haven't gone shopping since Christmas (I purchased this amazing blouse at H&M in Dallas when we visited then). Maybe this weekend? :-)

P.S. That last picture is the sunset view from our balcony. Absolutely breathtaking!

Fall Romance

Dinner at Sago's in Austin Friday night. Dog Parks. Red shoes. Mexican food (or "regular" food for my husband and I haha).Micheladas & Mexican Martinis! Yum! I'm so very sleepy right now it's ridiculous. It has definitely been a longgggg week. I already can't wait for the weekend to arrive again. I have gotten myself a few new toys this past week. One of them is this amazing pair of red suede pumps! They're my new favorite shoe and they're pretty comfortable :)

Pumpkin and the Patch

Wouldn't that be a great name for a children's book?! :) One of my favorite things for the Fall season are pumpkin patches. I would love to take a sleeping bag and place it right in the middle of millions of pumpkins and fall asleep under the stars. I'm weird, I know :) This one was a smaller one right outside of a Whole Foods Market right by our apt. The only thing that would have made it 100% better was if the weather was at least a good 60 degrees F instead of 101 degrees F.

Austin City Limits-Pre & After Shows

 

 

Top-Urban Outfitters/Short & Boots-Forever 21

So you would think that living in Austin, TX I would have been at the Austin City Limits Festival ALL weekend. Well, you'd be wrong, haha. I did, however,  make it to a Pre-Show at the W Hotel downtown on Thursday night to watch Katy B. from London perform. Her sound was a mix of hip-hop and electronic with a very cute accent and very powerful voice. On Friday night it was time for some "dupstep" so that meant Skrillex of course. His performance was AMAZING! My camera was so confused by the flashing lights and lasers. I did what I could. 

Four day weekend

Four day weekend- couldn't ask for more.  I would say it was pretty relaxing, but I would be lying. It was A LOT of fun though, so that's good :)  Oh, and I got a new haircut! Yes, it's true, I got SO tired of my long hair that I decided to chop it off. I love it! It feels so light and it now takes about 10 minutes to style. It's GREAT! :) 

P.S. That last picture is a light fixture at Mother's Cafe and Garden, a vegetarian restaurant in Austin, TX. Yummy food!
