I love random days full of adventure! (And cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory!)
BTW- I think I'm over the cold now.
I'll leave you with a song:

Christmas sweater

 Shorts -Forever 21 / Tights-Target / Sweater-Nordstrom Rack / Boots-Asos / Purse-FurorModa.com / Headband-Sam Moon

My Christmas sweater amped up a bit. Had a long long Christmas weekend in Dallas, TX, and now I'm exhausted (as usual). Ready for the new year!

P.S. This song has been in my head probably since I attended the show a few months ago. Enjoy.

Austin City Limits-Pre & After Shows

So you would think that living in Austin, TX I would have been at the Austin City Limits Festival ALL weekend. Well, you'd be wrong, haha. I did, however,  make it to a Pre-Show at the W Hotel downtown on Thursday night to watch Katy B. from London perform. Her sound was a mix of hip-hop and electronic with a very cute accent and very powerful voice. On Friday night it was time for some "dupstep" so that meant Skrillex of course. His performance was AMAZING! My camera was so confused by the flashing lights and lasers. I did what I could.

I was sitting round like a zombie feedin' my own face

This was my outfit for the Cold War Kids concert last night. I was so extremely tired after the long week that I just did NOT want to go anywhere. I just wanted to nap. But how can I pass up a Cold War Kids concert that I already had had tickets to for like 2 months. I sucked it up and ended up having a freaking good time.

These guys can certainly put on a show. They switch instruments with each other and even play the drums with maracas. I have always love the singers voice. It's unique and definitely mesmerizing. These last few pictures were taken by my husband, John, and his awesome Android because of the ever so annoying staff at Stubb's and their "no camera" rule. Even though I'm sure people probably sneak in their tiny cameras by hiding them in their crotch or something. Definitely something to consider for next time.

The best things in life are free

Strokes?! For free?! Need say more? I am so beat right now. I REALLY don't want to miss the Generationals' two shows tonite, but I might have to. Sorry Tina and Monica-don't kill me haha.

Anyway, It has definitely been quite a week. The Strokes were great! As you can tell, there were HUNDREDS of people there (no shit), but I still got to enjoy the show and listen to some of the songs for their new album coming out March 22nd. I'm gonna sleep like a baby tonight. Nevertheless, it should be a good weekend.

Music to my ears

First of all, I took my crappy hand-held camera and that is why the pictures look as blurry as they do. I tried my best. First show of SXSW Music week for me was Two Door Cinema Club. Opening for them was Bad Veins, which put on a GREAT show (first pic), and Royal Bangs, which weren't really my cup of tea. Like I pointed out to John after the 2nd song, "This sounds like a futuristic-robot-emo song." Best way to put it into words. Oh well. TDCC was one of the best shows I have seen (apart from No Doubt's comback tour). We got our dance on and our drink on, and it was definitely one hell of a night. Definitely worth the couple of hours I got of sleep.

Bye, Bye.
