So there is a reason for the title of my post. John and I had some friends over this past Saturday, and they brought their little girl. She is the most adorable child I have seen to date! Her name is Lola and she is 1 1/2. She quickly became comfortable with us and I could not seem to get away from her (or vice-versa). 

Anyway, I really have been trying to to make more posts, but with a full-time job, daily yoga, and Pinterest, I cannot seem to find the time. I know that seems like such a line, but I will really try to step it up! Also, I posted the last picture because of my hairstyle. I was so proud of myself for doing this! Yes, everything is bigger AND BETTER in Texas. We randomly found this box top in this field while we were taking pictures. It was so meant to be. 

So I guess by now you can tell how "different" my style can be. I can go from being girly and cutesy one day to grungy the next. I do have to say that I prefer the "grungy" side better. I feel like I'm more in my element. Maybe that's because I went through a punk phase back in high school or that fact that I am seriously infatuated by the ever so dreamy Kurt Cobain. I've gone on one of my tangents now-I apologize.

Neon Indian at Mohawk's on Friday night! This was so much fun! I was able to catch up with my frennn Tina and enjoy good music. I have been longing to wear my new Asos Chelsea leather boots but have been afraid of ruining them due to my horrifying clumsiness. I probably chose the worse place and situation to wear them for the first time, but oh well, I love them! I've noticed that I have seriously gone to A LOT of shows since I moved to Austin (only a little over a year). What do you expect from a music-loving gal?!

Pumpkin and the Patch

Wouldn't that be a great name for a children's book?! :) One of my favorite things for the Fall season are pumpkin patches. I would love to take a sleeping bag and place it right in the middle of millions of pumpkins and fall asleep under the stars. I'm weird, I know :) This one was a smaller one right outside of a Whole Foods Market right by our apt. The only thing that would have made it 100% better was if the weather was at least a good 60 degrees F instead of 101 degrees F.

 ...let's fly, let's fly away! I love Frank Sinatra. He's so dreamy! I guess I like the whole old-fashioned New York style that exudes from his being. Well, his voice has something to do with it as well. I have no idea why I'm going on a rant about him now. That song randomly pops into my head at times. 

It was actually quite a beautiful day in Austin yesterday. The sun was out, the wind was blowing, and then it got really cold right about at 7pm. It was nice while it lasted. John and I did a lot of window shopping. Mostly for our apt. We ended up at Anthropologie in the home section. I love how all of their stuff is so out of the ordinary and has a sort of vintage feel to it. I'm a sucker for a pastel colored porcelain plate. I could've spent hours there, but of course, I moved on to the clothes section.

Oh well.

Cranium is the BEST board game ever! This is how we started out the night at our apartment. There was so much beer drunk that night-it was ridiculous. So many laughs were shared. So many, many inappropriate, but hilarious stories. Thankfully no cops came knocking on our door from perturbed neighbors.

Anyway, this sweater is one of my most recent purchases from Forever 21. It the perfect oversize fit and beautiful off-white color. I went a little picture crazy, but I couldn't help myself.
