Blooming in

Top, shoes & flower pin-Forever 21 / Shorts-Zara / Bag- Jessica Simpson/ Watch- Michael Kors

Just a short post from this past Sunday. I had completely forgotten that I had taken these pictures until now! The weather fluctuated SO much that day. It felt like the sun was never out long enough to get a good shot and not one where the day would look gloomy and sad.

I've currently been obsessed with everything bring and neon and pastel and PINK! SO unlike me, but you know what they say: opposites attract :-)

Hope you all have an amazing weekend! (Yes, I'm starting it early)

...a quote from one of my favorite Arctic Monkey's song: Scummy Man. They were AMAZING at Stubb's this past Tuesday. I was exhausted after standing for about 4 hours straight and had to be at work at 8am the next day, but it was totally worth it.

This was the outfit I had planned to wear. I figured I'd at least be a little taller with my boots and I would actually be able to see something not through shoulders and heads. Once I thought about it, I immediately changed my mind and decided to not completely destroy my brand new pair of Jeffrey Campbell's with mud, beer and other people's groggy feet. I changed into my flats. I still got a good spot :)

About a Girl

Late (& short) Sunday post. This is me on a Sunday. I get sooooo lazy it's almost tragic. I'll throw on a good t-shirt, some baggy shorts and pull my hair back. John and I usually go watch a movie, do some grocery shopping or just go enjoy ourselves at one of the hundreds of parks in Austin. We recently, "accidentally" found a Mexican bakery that sells all sorts of fresh "pan dulce" (which translates into sweet bread). It reminds me of Sundays back home at my dad's house in Mexico. We used to buy loads of it and practically eat it all in one day. I'm trying really hard to not do that anymore...John-well, not so much, ha ha.

I guess this would be my version on a "70's" outfit. I received my new and 1st ever pair of Jeffery Campbells! I know, I know-1ST PAIR! Anyways, I am in love. They are so amazingly comfortable and I am already thinking of different outfits to pair them with.

I've definitely been longing for some rain over here in Central TX. We are in a serious drought so it's been a little difficult to enjoy any water activities like tubing down the river or going out to the lake. Rain oh rain please make an appearance soon. I am also really excited for the next season to hit. Yes, Fall. My most favorite season of them all! :)

This past weekend was activity-filled indeed. John and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary by attending the A Perfect Circle concert in San Antonio, TX. They were AMAZING! They are one of those bands that we both are completely obsessed with. I am so glad we were able to experience it together. They did not allow cameras at the venue so we were not able to properly capture the show with the exception of that first picture of me taken with John's camera phone.

We then drove back from San Antonio to Austin on Saturday and decided to have a "proper" date for our anniversary. That included watching "Friends with Benefits" (HILARIOUS by the way), and having some frozen yogurt, followed by being silly by running around in the water fountain like little kids. We were exhausted from all of the excitement the night before to do anything else after that.

Hope your weekend was great too! :)

Tripz

Our day trip to Houston, TX was a blasty blast. We drove by downtown (and I say "drove"since it would NOT stop raining and I did not feel like walking in the rain), went to the Galleria to do A LOT of window shopping, and had a very fun night with friends. We checked out the University Bar at Rice University and had 95 cent beers all night. I am SO exhausted from all of the driving and walking, but I am so ready for a fun day at the lake tomorrow. Till then, I'm outie!

We spent July 4th at Fredricksburg, TX taking in being an American. We went shopping, visited a Winery, a hiking trail, ate lunch to the songs of a definite up-and-coming musician, and even watched a WWII re-enactment. I couldn't have felt more patriotic.

I was completely exhausted by the end of the day, but it was definitely a good 'ol time.
